Session: Special functions and applications
In this session we aim at gathering experts in a large range of aspects of special functions including applications.
The topics include e.g. classical special functions such as hypergeometric functions, relations to orthogonal polynomials
incl. Painleve equations and Riemann Hilbert problems, asymptotic analysis, approximation theory, q-special functions and
connections to combinatorics, and special polynomials and functions used in fractional calculus.
