Di Pasca&#8221; (Italy)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Memory for Rocco Mazzola<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Italian boxer from Potenza ( Potenza 20th October 1932- 18th March 2012),three times champion of Italy in the \u201850s and \u201860s, is part of the history of the national boxing.\u00a0\u00a0He was the seventh Italian boxer to have conquered the title in two categories: lighth maximum\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0maximum weights.<br>He was a\u00a0\u00a0right guard and people liked his boxing.He became a favorite of Lucanians and a boxer admired\u00a0\u00a0throughout Italy. The value of the Lucanian Rocco is found\u00a0\u00a0in the judgment of Umberto Branchini, the greatest Italian manager,\u00a0\u00a0who considered Mazzola the ninth strongest Italian boxer ever existed.<br>The \u201cGood Giant\u201d from Potenza has had an extraordinary career as an amateur with the middle weight title, and as a professional boxer with the two major titles.<br>He inspired the great Luchino Visconti\u00a0\u00a0for his masterpiece \u201cRocco and his brothers\u201d; the Milanese director called Rocco to represent himself in a small part of the film that focuses precisely on the world of boxing, an opportunity for redemption for the talented young southerners.<br>In this paper we\u2019d like to talk\u00a0\u00a0about the Visconti\u2019s admiration for his boxing career and his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\"><strong>Tiziana Mazzola<\/strong>, Rocco\u2019s daughter, is a teacher of English language and civilization at the Vocational Professional Hotel School \u201cU.
